Our final day began with howling winds as we sat on Ocean Star’s mooring in Great Harbour Peter. After breakfast we began the lengthy process of returning Ocean Star to the pristine state that we found her in. As we slipped the mooring and entered the Sir Francis Drake channel for out last motor to West End, the crew began packing bags and meticulously cleaning their personal bunks. After tying up at the dock the flurry of activity commenced, all gear was removed and Ocean Star was thoroughly cleaned and detailed. At 15:00 the crew was set free to finish up last minute errands and prepare for our final feast at a local restaurant called Pisces. We joined hands in the cockpit of Ocean Star for one last tearful squeeze prior to dinner and then enjoyed an elaborate buffet and an evening of reminiscing about the incredible voyage that had just concluded.
