After a quiet night out at the Prickley Bay Marina Bar, we awoke early to begin our 35 mile passage to Sandy island, where we had our second Student Leadership Development class. The weather was beautiful and the passage went smoothly. After our on-shore class, we pulled up the anchor and moved the boat to a calmer and safer anchorage in Hillsborough Bay, Carriacou. When we arrived, the small bay was filled with schooling bait fish and larger tuna were frequently seen leaping from the water after them. The beauty of the Caribbean continues to amaze me and the crew’s morale remains high. During the passage, Jeff succesfully repaired the ratlines, Stu and Logan constructed 2 new baggywrinkles and we almost caught a huge fish.
