We departed Ile Forchue this morning at 0800 under sail. The crew turned to and performing immaculately. Not far out of the anchorage we sighted mother and calf humpback whales which we altered course to watch for a few moments. The breeze was light, 10-15 kts from the south east, so we took advantage of the benign conditions and set the Fisherman Staysl and the Flying Jib, making a total of six sails set. Admiring the beauty of Ocean Star under full canvas from the deck alone was not enough. We launched our rescue dinghy and our photographically talented crew members shot hundreds of shots of us and our vessel in all her glory. We arrived at our anchorage at 1500 and spent some time coiling down the deck and stowing thousands of square feet of canvas. By 1800 we were enjoying a well deserved Mexican fiesta dinner.
