Well, today was our first race day of the King’s Cup Regatta. We all started the day off early with breakfast at 0700. We were out on the course for about 0800 and tacked around the starting line. Our class started tenth and we started well. With two other boats in our class, Cordilia and Jubileaum, in close quarters we rounded the first mark in good position. It wasn’t until the second gate that the wind died and the current took over. For the rest of the race we tacked in very light winds, making little headway before retiring at about 3:30. We are heading back into port a tired and sun-kissed crew of Argonauts.
