twelve year olds with walkie talkies

It’s been another blazing hot but awesome day. Although for being in supposedly some of the most shark and pirate infested waters, I have yet to see either Last night was a busy one for bow watch- ships were flying past us from every direction! Unfortunately this also means lots of radio activity. I say unfortunately because 99.9% of what comes over the airwaves is completely useless and annoying noise and chatter. These seamen are like little bratty kids with walkie talkies! Ah well, there are worse things to deal with in life I suppose. OCE students finished up giving presentations on everything from sea turtles to red tides. Our reward: midterm tomorrow, which meant studying the rest of the day. We closed out the day with a relaxing curry supper cheffed up by Eliot and Abbey.
