This morning the weather calmed down and allowed us to start making better speed. We kept our reefed sails up and motor sailed through the many oil rigs, tacking back and forth to make way towards our destination. We resumed classes today with Oceanography and Professional Skipper and Crew Training classes in the afternoon, and by dinner time the wind had eased down to about 10 knots, allowing us to drop sails and motor directly towards Port Suez. We had a delicious pasta concoction from James and Jay for dinner, and it is now much easier to eat on deck with the lighter winds. We had an amazing sunset over the Egyptian mountains and desert, and are all excited for our arrival in Port Suez in the morning.
