First thing in the morning students set out for their first wreck dive. The wreck was an old gunship from WW I. It has now become an artificial reef for an array of marine life. Students even got to see a shark! Afterwards students and staff went ashore to experience the local culture and go hiking. On the hike students reached the top of the island and gazed down upon the cays. Whilst most kids were on the island, a handful stayed back to assist the biologists in a scientific reef survey. They collected data on Elkhorn coral for a project run by NOAA. A productive day to say the least.
