Diving in Ille Fourche

Mar 17, 2008

Location: Ille Fourche
Author: Adam
Today began with a motor from Gustavia to Ille Fourche. When we arrived at the beautiful bay surrounded by dusty and rocky headlands we began to review a PADI knowledge development for the naturalist diver specialty. After lunch went diving and circumnavigated a small island just outside the bay. We managed to see a nurse shark and a spotted eagle ray which totally made the dive. As part of the naturalist we also had to observe 5 vertebrate, 5 invertebrate and 2 plant species underwater which we then identified using the ID books and logged. On the way back Mike sprung a rescue scenario on the rescue divers, they managed to save the victim’ so now they have completed their training so congratulations Paul and Chris. We ended the day with a Mexican night dinner and a marine biology class.
