It’s Not Harbor, It’s Harbour

Jul 30, 2008

Location: English Harbour, Antigua
Author: Rich
After sailing through the night from Guadeloupe, we arrived near Antigua calling all hands at 9 am. The day moved quick upon arrival in English Harbour, where we posted a record time putting the boat away. We then showed our ocean home some ocean loving maintenance for the super fans ashore. Already the count of pictures of Ocean Star is in the hundreds and it’s our first day here. We scrubbed her and made her look the part of a seafaring prom queen then split into two groups for shore time and the navigation element of our advanced open water certifications. I was on the dive team which was a lot of fun. There were about 150,000 moon jellies surrounding the dive site which gave Antiguan waters a little character. After the dive and shore time we had oceanography on shore near a restaurant then came back aboard for showers and dinner. We are now sitting down to MTE class before a sign out night to end a great day.
