What a day that was

Nov 28, 2008

Location: Statia
Author: Chris Ergen
Thanksgiving Day on Ocean Star started with a swim before breakfast, followed by a trip to dive the Charlie Brown. An old cable laying ship, Charlie Brown was sunk off the coast of Statia to provide an underwater attraction for divers in 2003. The dive was incredible. We all enjoyed the “highway”, a 40 meter long tunnel that took us through the cabin area of the ship. After the dive, we spent the afternoon exploring the town of Oranjestaad before meeting up at the Old Gin House for a traditional American style Thanksgiving dinner. The chefs at the Old Gin House must have been born in the US because he hit the mark with a fantastic meal that we all loved.andlt;hr width=’100’/andgt;andlt;div align=’center’andgt;andlt;tableandgt;andlt;trandgt;andlt;tdandgt;andlt;
