Ah what a glorious day. We started off with a little bit of science. It has been a Sea-mester tradition to have a guide row us up the Indian River, while we perform a depth profile of salinity and temperature. It was quite amazing to see how the surface layer of the river was fresh water, yet a mere meter below the surface there was nearly full strength sea water. We found this trend fairly far up the river, where we stopped a little shack and had some refreshing drinks. In the afternoon we sailed the short distance between Dominica and the Saints where we will be spending the next few days. Until next time-Casey signing out……
