Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda
Ok, so to start, this voyage is non-stop action, work, and fun. Only day 4 and I already feel like I learned so many new things. Anchor watch last night was so peaceful and relaxing. There was no rain and the sky was filled with an unbelievable amount of stars, you don’t see that in New York – and my anchor watch buddy was good conversation and company. The day started with our second dives. Getting to the bottom of the surface and seeing colorful fish swim out from the coral for the first time was so amazing. I can’t wait to see what else lies beneath the surface. The fun only continued when we got back to our boat Ocean Star. Doing flips and dives off the boat was awesome, especially climbing up the ladder rung on the side of the boat and jumping off was so much fun. The boys taught me a lot of new moves you can do while jumping into the water – sweet. After lunch we set sail and made our way over to Mountain Point. Learning more sailing skills was confusing but getting the hang of it more each day. Not to mention, once your boat is going, you can just chill out and enjoy the incredible view. Nothing can be more peaceful under the sun on a beautiful sail boat with a bunch of new friends whom you are learning more about each day. Before dinner we did rescue drills -really interesting to see how drills work on a boat. Then – Dinner. Delicious chili. I am so full! The day starts early but goes so quick. By the end of the day everyone is exhausted and ready to hit the bunks. I am eager to discover, explore and see what else is going to unfold on this adventure! Cease the moment and cherish the memories.
