Location: Ville Franche, France
This morning started off still underway from Portovenere, Italy to Monaco. Argo arrived in port to find the Monaco SuperYacht Show in full force in the harbor. Being so unbelievably crowded with multi-million dollar yachts, we chose to head around the bend just southwest to Ville Franche for a bit of peace and quiet. (Not before taking a bit of a sightseeing weave through the anchorage however). The rest of the crew awoke a bit blurry-eyed to find Argo peacefully at anchor in this beautiful anchorage in France. Following getting the boat squared-away after passage, Oceanography class was held down below, prepping the students for what they were about to see in the afternoon. Everyone left Argo bound for a train that would take them to the Monaco Museum of Oceanography, for a tour of a historic landmark built in 1911 by Prince Albert I. After the museum there were a few hours of free time ashore, then dinner aboard. After dinner everyone went ashore to enjoy a nice glass of wine for their first night out in beautiful Ville Franche. Arrivederci! Wait, I mean Au revoir!
