Goodbye America

Mar 22, 2011

Location: Underway to Bimini
Author: Wynn Nevins
We awoke at 7:30 to a breakfast of French toast made by Mac, then motored our way over to the fueling station and completed the necessary things to prepare ourselves for passage. This included making sure the galley, salon, and all bunks were secured, pulling up the dinghies and a few other tasks. Once all of that was done, we waved farewell to America and departed for Bimini. A lunch of grilled cheese was enjoyed underway right before everyone’s favorite time of the day, class time! Our classes were Oceanography and PSCT. Oceanography was an interesting lecture on wave formation and the different types of waves. After classes were deck showers and eventually a dinner of Chicken Alfredo pasta.
