Just the daily routine

What to say about today hmmm, it seemed largely uneventful. Just the standard: stunning sunrise, gorgeous weather, delectable dinner (Mitch and co. caught a tuna that made for a great meal – sweet I get to be the first to report that the fish have been a’bitting. We have caught two edible fish now and watching the team catch and cut up the colorful mahi-mahi and then tuna has been very exciting. As it died, the mahi changed color from gold to blue to white. We also scored the pleasure of tasting fish heart and as fresh as possible sashimi with the ever adventurous Sean and Mitch eating a pair of eyeballs), and a stunning sunset. The one, the only, watch team two rotated into the ever entertaining sunrise and sunset watch complete with awesome bow watch conversations and relaxed side to side rolling. We have become far more seaworthy since our first passage. I still remember the horror show that was our first class with turbulent seas and nowadays we pound out test with pencils and charts flying everywhere, completely unfazed. It feels as if this crew could sail on forever, catching fish, making our own bread; we even managed to fix a sail catastrophe this morning by hoisting Al to the top of the mast. Since thanksgiving is only hours away I would like to do a special shout-out to my family. I’m terribly torn up that I will miss my first Meyer thanksgiving and I want you all to know that I love and miss you all. I hate to admit this but thinking about the holidays is making me a little homesick. I can’t wait to see all of you. Much love, Grant.
