Land-HO! (actually!)

Mar 21, 2012

Location: Cuba
Author: Alex
Today was a momentous day as we found ourselves docked in the Hemmingway Marina of Havana, Cuba. After a wonderful morning of BA and a plethora of eggplant, uniformed customs officers coming on and off the boat, we threaded our way backwards through one of the most poorly design channels ever to our spot for the two nights. We, as usual, were quite the spectacle with people asking where we were from and why there were so many people on the boat. Once docked, we all enjoyed a relaxing afternoon of free time, just hanging about the marina, recovering from what was for most, quite a trying passage. The night ended with a great dinner and everyone going to bed quite early making up for the lack of sleep from the passage. After making it to Cuba, and being on land, many of us know, we can handle any passage.
