Location: Underway to the Marquesas
What does it mean to go 3098 miles? Well some people will say that you hop on a plane and your there in 6 hours. But here on Argo we do it differently. 18 days ago we did our last provisioning for snacks, and our final fueling before leaving the Galapagos. We have cooked all of our meals, we have cleaned all of our dishes, and we have raised and struck all of our sails multiple times. We have sat on bow watch for hours on end talking about the most random assortment of topics. We have helmed and we have done boat checks, and together we have made it more than halfway across the Pacific Ocean. We left the Galapagos as a group of friends and acquaintances but tomorrow morning we will be bringing Argo into the Marquesas as a family. As I am nearing my 180-day mark on Argo it is a bit sad to think that I am heading back to ordinary life. What am I going to do with out the sponge system? And squeeze questions every night? Who am I going to bug for snacks? And how weird is it going to be to sleep in a room without roommates? All I can say it has been one heck of an adventure. Thank you to all who have made this experience remarkable.
