Goodbye Gili

Location: Underway to Borneo
Author: Will Rodbell
We started our passage to Borneo after dinner Thursday night. Today we had a normal day of passage, seeing plenty of dolphins throughout the day. The day was filled with three classes: Marine Biology and Oceanography during the day and then MTE following dinner. During Marine Biology we learned about marine arthropods, which is a group of organisms that includes crabs, shrimp, krill, isopods, and the mantis shrimp. We played a game for review for the Oceanography test, where Claire came out on top and won the grand prize of chocolate milk. In MTE we learned about navigation and how to do a 3-point fix how to figure out and plot your location using three bearings. It was another good day on the open sea aboard Argo.
