Location: Koh Tao, Thailand
Ko Tao, a small and somewhat remote island in the Gulf of Thailand. A Lazy day of diving. A busy day working on projects for class. Anticipation. The easy motion of the boat at anchor. The harsh sun 10 degrees north of the equator. We have joined the travelers of the world on the well-worn path through South East Asia. Ko Samui, Ko Phangan, Ko Tao. Being drawn toward Bangkok. Fighting the desire to think about the future, and what lies beyond the 15th of April. Staying in the present. Knowing that no matter what happens, today can not be lived again. And so, with the barbaric yawp of a free man, diving into tomorrow. To summit a mountain. To dive into the unknown depths. To conquer fears known only in the dark of night watch, when one can stop lying to oneself, if only for a moment. To greet tomorrow and breathe deep the pungent scent of humanity to feel the humus of life in your toes. Today is over. We live for tomorrow. Also Hunter Stanley became a Divemaster today. You Go Hunter Stanley!
