You’re a Good Dive, Charlie Brown

Apr 6, 2014

Location: Statia, somewhere en route to BVI
Author: Jonathan B.
The last blog I shall ever write for the beloved Ocean Star. Sigh. We commenced our morn with a pleasant underwater stroll around a wreck famously known as the Charlie Brown. The wreck got its name from the way it teeters back and forth in the waves, much like Charlie Browns dance; or maybe twas because the ship was named the Charles Brown. The ship was three hundred feet long, housed a dazzling array of aquatic life for us to feast our eyes upon and we even got to swim through part of it. Our afternoon was spent dawdling around the town, some of us checking out the fort and others walking around town. Big Tone and T Bo Swerve both decided it was time for a chop of their locks. Back on board for the night, we had to prepare for our last sail. We hit a snag on raising the anchor but it wasn’t anything Capt’ J Flow couldn’t alleviate. He worked his voodoo and kept us sailors a-going. Danamite was the morale boost for the night, performing an exquisite African dance routine that blessed us with a righteous sail. The sail raise after that was scintillating, everyone pumped to make it the most bestest. Cheers to Dre$wag for another round of Filipino scrumptiousness. Cheers to Glen and Golden Rock Diving for one of the dopest dives of the trip. Cheers to our crew for making this journey explosively memorable.
