Accreditation Information
In association with the State College of Florida (SCF), Sea|mester is approved by the State of Florida Department of Education to offer credit for SCF academic courses taught during all voyages.
Sea|mester Base Tuition includes all academic instruction for these courses, but does not include the cost of enrollment in SCF. For this reason, students wishing to receive their grades reflected on an SCF transcript or those needing to show 'full-time' or 'part-time' enrollment in an accredited academic institution for federal financial aid requirements, must select the appropriate optional SCF Credit Package prior to the start date of their voyage. If selected, a student's total tuition is calculated by adding the Sea|mester Base Tuition to the appropriate SCF Credit Package. Current costs of the optional SCF Credit Packages are shown below.

About 70% of our college-age students take advantage of the SCF Credit Package option. The Credit Package fees are based on your full-time state residency status (FL, CT, MI etc.) and the SCF tuition is mandated by the State of Florida.
That being said, 30% of our students do not opt for the SCF Credit Package. Typical reasons for this might be that they do not need to transfer credit (eg. graduating students), are not able to transfer credit (students with deferred entry to certain colleges) or those who have negotiated credit transfer directly from the Sea|mester transcript.
Regardless of whether students select the SCF Credit Package, all are issued Sea|mester transcripts, our official record of a student's academic progress and achievement that reflects grades and contact hours for both academic and vocational courses.
