Lindsay was raised in New Jersey but spent her childhood dreaming of far-flung tropical locations. She graduated from Colgate University in 2013 with a B.A. in Biology and an avid interest in research. Lindsay has participated in a variety of research projects, studying everything from juvenile lemon sharks in Bahamian mangroves to Bryde’s whales in the Galapagos to beluga whale behavior at Mystic Aquarium. She obtained her Master of Science in Oceanography in 2016 from Texas A&M University where she examined fauna living in the floating algae, Sargassum. Apart from research, Lindsay also has an extensive teaching background both in the classroom and on tall ships. She is excited to join Sea|mester where she hopes to combine her love of teaching with a healthy dose of underwater adventure. When she’s not teaching, you can find Lindsay painting, dancing, or photographing everything above and below water.
