Location: Port Vila, Efate, Vanuatu
Today was a quiet but very fun day in Efate, Vanuatu. I had the opportunity to go and explore the Cascade Waterfall. When you first arrive at the waterfall, it is a great sight. At the bottom, there is a little restaurant where you start your trek to the top of the waterfall. As you follow the stream from the waterfall up to the top, it feels like you are traveling through a rainforest. Right before you arrive at the top, there is a little area where you can leave your bags and then head up to the top to swim. The final section of the waterfall was a beautiful sight as you get to the area where the waterfall drains and creates a pool that you can freely swim in. As you swim in the pool, you have a constant stream of fresh water rushing down your face. It was one of the most refreshing swims I have ever had. Not only did I get to see an absolutely awesome waterfall, but I also had the opportunity to eat lunch at the bottom of it. After a long day, we returned to the boat and ate dinner. Then, we ended the day by watching 7 Years in Tibet as a group for SLD.
