Location: Krabi, Thailand
For the first time this voyage, Argo’s sails were up and running, thanks to the efforts of the well-balanced staff and their helpful instruction. Although some salty splashes over the side gave Jack a much-needed wash on our way to Krabi, we finally made it to our anchorage, where we will spend the next few days doing our scuba certification dives. After our driving lessons for the day, we jumped into the water to take the swim test required for certification. The day finished off with some heavenly Shepherds Pie for dinner, some memories of home, and a promise to Kris, our captain, to increase the use of British slang on the boat. Even though the view here is beautiful, the crew is definitely excited to set sail once again when the time comes. All in all, today was a successful and enjoyable first sail.
