Location: Bonifacio, Corsica

This morning, Argo’s crew was up before the sun and preparing to haul up the anchor and make the short trip across the Bonifacio Straits from Sardinia to Corsica. Before entering the historic port of Bonifacio, everyone took their turn hopping in the dinghy to go swimming in a cave just outside the entrance. The crisp morning swim energized the crew so that once we were settled into dock life, we could set out on a stroll along the cliffs overlooking the town. The paths wind alongside the 300-foot cliffs for scenic view after scenic view. A few even decided to continue down to the water to enjoy the beautiful beach at the edge of the crystal-clear water. The rest of the day was spent enjoying the old town on the top of the cliffs and, finally, the port’s nightlife for our inaugural night out.
