Hi, it’s been 20 days since I have written, and honestly, so much has changed since then. Sometimes I can’t believe that this is my life, and I feel that this has become so normal for me. My day-to-day life usually includes diving, class, and sailing, which is pretty cool if you ask me. Today we had a slow morning, and Mackenzie made chia seed pudding which I’ve been trying to convince everyone to make because it’s my favorite breakfast. We then cleaned up, and we all went to land to get our covid tests done, which was quite fun because we got to go on the dinghy and after we all got to do dinghy school, we got to drive each other, which is quite fun watching everyone drive the dinghy. Everyone was super tired, so we all napped while waiting for our covid tests, which was a fun rest before the rest of our day. When we got done with that, we did some passage prep before leaving for Dominica tomorrow. We then had sandwiches and a charcuterie board for lunch, and it was so so good. After that, we had Marine Biology, which was quite interesting. Then we had our EFR (Emergency First Responder) practical where Ash taught us all about that. During this practical, we gave CPR to the dummy, and it was pretty fun to rotate around all of us giving CPR. We then came up on deck, and we started going over all of the log rolls and emergency situations which were so funny to go over all of the situations. We then all took showers and ate dinner. After this, we’ll have a discussion in leadership, and I’m looking forward to it because honestly, they’re always a good time. This is Alexis signing our because I honestly have no idea if I’m going to be skipper again, but I hope I am. If I’m not, then bye everyone, thanks for reading this far into the logs.

Photo 2: Another epic nap had by Lucy – she likes naps
Photo 3: Maxime being an unconscious person and Lucia very rapidly first responding
Photo 4: They were supposed to be flaking the jib…
Photo 5: Sunset? Sunrise? Who knows?
Photo 6: Epic class – don’t mind Eamon clearly on his phone. Probably texting Paige. Not caring about the amazing things he’s missing out on learning.
