With the crew assembled we began the spring voyage aboad Ocean Star. At our berth in Sopar’s Hole, Tortola, we met to discuss the policies and agreements of the program and then got underway to anchor out in the bay for CPR and First Aid trining. With final preparations in place we hauled up the anchor and motored up the Drake Channel to Peter Island where the crew learned how to shower in salt water, eat salad in the trade winds and presently are being intorduced to the intricacies of the vessel.
