Location: St. Pierre, Martinique
We all knew that it was going to be a good day when we woke up to the smell of bacon. After a delicious breakfast, we split up into two groups. Shayna, Bret, Will, Collin, James and I went to shore to explore Martinique. We wandered around and chilled in a cafe for a few hours while Dom, Bridget, Aylee, Ben, Gwen and Jacob went on a wreck dive (the boat sank in the 1902 volcanic eruption). After lunch the groups switched, and those of us who went to shore in the morning got a chance to dive in the afternoon. For most of us, this was our very first deep dive, and our last dive towards our Advanced Scuba certification. When we got back to the boat, we showered and ate dinner, then had a quick Oceanography lecture before our Marine Biology exam. After that we all chilled out and watched movies in our bunks. Looking forward to another great day in Martinique tomorrow!
