The boat was really moving around as soon as we passed Round Rock on our way to Nevis It didn’t take me long to realize that I would rather be on deck than below, and that the only thing I would be doing below would be sleeping. The pop-tart watch team, although shorthanded yet still amazing is comprised of me, Caitlin and Captain Dan. We make a good team, rotating between helm, boat check and bow-watch. The helm was my favorite, specifically while we approached Saba at 0300 hours. The only things visible were the spray coming from the bow, faint boat lights in the distance and the murky looming presence of Saba on the horizon. What an experience.
