Location: Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands
Today was the third day of our voyage, and certainly the busiest so far. We woke up at 7:00 sharp, and after a quick breakfast set about to letting out the sails and getting under way. Working as a team, we were able to get the ship out at 9:00, and set out for Virgin Gorda. The ride was relatively quick, about 2 or 3 hours tops, but more importantly, it was our first introduction to sailing. The wind was strong and steady today, and we made good time getting to the anchoring spot. After lunch, those in the beginning divers class set out to test out their knowledge at 2:00 where they dove around the reefs of Virgin Gorda. Showering and dinner ensued afterwards, and a question was presented to the crew asking them to tell a bit of their family history to the rest of us, which presented some very interesting responses from everybody. The day is ending with cleaning up the deck, and then more in boat instruction for the beginning divers, along with a typical gorgeous Caribbean sunset.
