Location: Underway to Sardinia
The day all of us had been waiting for it, it had finally arrived! Today, we began our sailing education, leaving the dock in Civitavecchia after breakfast and heading towards Sardinia. I started off driving the boat and managed to get us off the dock without crashing, despite my lack of experience. From there, we all began our passage prep, taking off sail covers, running the jack lines, and checking that our bunks were 40/40 to get us ready for passage. Then, after lunch, our Argo education continued with a few emergency drills, and we even rescued one of our emergency life rings during our drills! Later on, after dinner, our night watches began. All of us are anxious to see what our nighttime bow watches and new sleeping schedules will be like, but we can’t wait to get to Sardinia tomorrow morning!
