Today, when I woke up for 12-4, I was immediately pleased by the silence of sailing! We have not done much sail handling recently, but this morning, we had four sails up and engines off. Today consisted of lots of work on our group projects that are due tonight and studying for the oceanography quiz. We all “smashed” the quiz. Shoutout to my foc’s’ole girls for all getting 100%. For Nav Master today, we split into two groups so that everyone could get more one-on-one time with the charts, and a lot of us are feeling a lot better about the material. The star of today was our head chef, Wednesday. She created some delicious pad tai for lunch and Greek bowls for dinner. We are getting closer to land, which means we are sailing through lots of sargassum and seeing more fish (I am hoping to see some turtles, too). Overall, it was a productive day. Nothing too crazy happened, but good vibes all around.

To my family, I love and miss you all very much. I can’t wait to see you guys in Antigua. Also, during BA the other day, I found a Kemba hair in my bunk. I don’t know how it has traveled to the middle of the ocean with me, but it made me miss him, so give him some good pets for me, please. <3
