There’s not many better ways to wake up than to have a fresh, French bakery breakfast on display when you come up on the deck to greet the day. Needless to say, everyone was delighted to have an assortment of fresh pastries, baguettes, croissants, and fine cheeses and jellies to choose from as we all cleared our eyes and chatted about today’s plans. After a good meal and clean-up, we loaded up in the dinghies and headed back into Les Saintes for some last-minute shopping, strolling, and internet. Coffee, ice cream, cookies, and sarongs were the most popular finds. Everyone gathered on the dock and headed back to Ocean Star for baguette sandwiches for lunch. After lunch, we raised anchor and headed over to the neighboring big-brother French island of Guadeloupe, where will be enjoying a new dive site. Some swimming, showers, and chicken Caesar salad put the cap on another great day in paradise. Tomorrow we’ll be exploring some new terrain, above and below the water.
