Location: Slipway, English Harbor, Antigua
Hello family and friends,
Our day started with some delicious pumpkin bread made by Amanda to fuel us for our morning hike. We got a dinghy ride to Galleon beach, where we were greeted by a local dog named Boss. We started the hike walking on beautiful trails with cacti surrounding us. The ocean lookout was beautiful (pictured above). We ended our hike at the tide pools, where we spent some time admiring hermit crabs, urchins, and other cool marine life. By the time we got back to Ocean Star, we had worked up our appetites for a lunch of yummy leftovers. The afternoon was full of excitement with our first Open Water dive. We saw awesome fish, and it felt so good to see our Scuba diving progress. After our dive, we had little energy, but Sasha and LoLo treated us by bringing us to the market, where we got snacks and sodas. We patiently waited for dinner, while the smell of burgers filled the air. Our stomachs are full, we are satisfied from a full day of adventure, and we are ready to watch a movie called Maiden, to get us excited for sailing.
