Location: Haavai Bay, Huahine, French Polynesia
Today, we woke up and ate an awesome breakfast (with bacon!), and then we went snorkeling off the shore of Huahine. We saw tons of coral, brightly colored fish, and a giant moray eel. The water was perfect, and they practically had to drag us back to the dinghy. After that, the divers getting their certification went on their 3rd open water dive while the rest of us studied for our first test tomorrow. After lunch, the rest of the day was spent (trying to) study, struggling to get WiFi, doing backflips off of the boat, swimming in the rain, and eating fresh coconuts. We’re definitely living the life here. I don’t know about anyone else, but this is my favorite island so far, and I’m bummed that we have to leave in the morning. Also, Happy Father’s Day to my dad and everyone else’s dads! We missed you guys today, and we wish you could have been here to see all this with us! And to the rest of my family and my friends: I miss you guys so much! I can’t wait to see you all and tell you about all of my adventures. Congratulations, Evan, for graduating college yesterday. I’m so proud of you, and I wish that I could have been there! I love you all so much, and I hope you’re enjoying your summer as much as I am.
