Location: Les Saints
Day 11! We woke up to Bob Marley, Stir it up, and our chefs Sam, Isabell, and Kelly made chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast. After breakfast, we had Oceanography and prepared to go to land. At Les Saints, we had about 6 hours to explore and eat and go shopping. We were allowed to split into groups to get dropped off, one group got dropped off directly in town, and the other wanted to get dropped off and walk the island to town. When you are walking in Les Saints, it feels like everything is uphill! On the walk, we saw tons of goats, a gecko, and Ocean Star from the top of a hill. We took a wrong turn and ended up at an isolated beach. For lunch, Alex and I went to a street vendor and got the best pork and fries that I have ever had and then joined some of the other students to explore and shop. After a succulent dinner of baked ziti, we had a squeeze and played two truths and a lie. It turns out Issac’s relative is not actually an astronaut!
