Location: Soufriere, St. Lucia
Today, we went on our tour of St. Lucia. The first place we went to was a waterfall containing sulfur from the volcano, which ended in a pool that we all swam in. The water was warm and did wonders for your skin as it is supposed to have medicinal properties, making your skin look healthier. After that, we got a tour of the volcano, and we actually stood in the center of the crater. There was hydrogen sulfide steam coming out of the ground – it was sweet. After the volcano, we got a tour of the botanical garden the location of the waterfall from the movie Romancing the Stone. After the gardens, we had free time in town until dinner. All in all, it was a sulfury, smelly day.
