Today started off with a pancake breakfast. This was much-needed fuel for our hike up the Quill. Even though the hike was a little short, all of us enjoyed the morning trek. After the hike, we met up at a Chinese restaurant for lunch. The sizzling platter was the crew’s favorite and was strongly recommended by Boomer. After lunch, a handful stayed ashore, and some came back to Ocean Star. The afternoon was filled with chart work and an intense chess match between Boomer and Joe. Joe triumphed, and this turn of events caused the gods of the islands to shake and rumble, with an earthquake felt all the way to St. Martin. Tonight, we had our last scheduling meeting and class. It’s tough coming up to the end of our journey, but we are all enjoying our time left aboard.
