This morning, I woke up to the smell of Argo’s spice bread and an anxious crew. After a delicious breakfast, we began passage prep, followed by some last-minute shore time. Some went to grab just one more chocolate bar, while others headed to the showers. Just before lunch, our groceries were delivered, and the fun began. Nicole and I were in charge of the meat world. We spent almost an hour fitting 22 kg of beef and 170 chicken breasts in our one freezer (not to mention the 58 pork loins and random hot dogs that live in the bottom!) Somehow everything found its place and we mustarded for lunch. Kris, Karl, and Lilly cooked up a delicious carrot soup, and after clean up, we left the Canaries! We made a few bets on how long it was going to take us. I’m hoping for 13 days of smooth sailing, while others are saying 10, 12, and even 17! Since every day on Argo is an adventure, I can only imagine what’s in store for this passage!
