Location: Underway to Fiji

So today was essentially passage prep and the ICC exam. But don’t let that boring sentence fool you! It was super fun! We started off with a wonderful wake-up by yours truly (don’t listen to anyone else; I’m a wonderful waker-upper) and proceeded to eat a lovely breakfast. After breakfast was a quick ocean shower where I kicked a total of 5 jellyfish (don’t panic, Mom, moon jellies don’t sting). What followed is a strange phenomenon that only occurs on test days: quiet time. Then there was the ICC exam (which I’m pretty sure stands for International Crew Certification) and, finally, passage prep. We then sailed off into the horizon in hopes of reaching the mystical land of Fiji, only 450 nautical miles away. And this time, we saw whales instead of seeing a rainbow or dolphins! Like really big ones! I’m pretty sure they were humpback whales. We continued on and spent the whole day sailing without the engine like real sailors. It was a pretty awesome day. Special Shout-out to my family and my besties at home: I miss you guys a ton, and I can’t wait to see you all and tell you about my adventures!
