Dominica here we come!

Jul 22, 2012

Location: Passage to Dominica
Author: Cassandra
Everyone woke up the morning of our much anticipated passage from St. Kitts to Dominica feeling more than a little sleepy but, just before lunch, nine eager divers hopped into the water for my favorite dive of the trip so far. River Taw was a tug boat wreck that was split into a few different pieces about 40 feet below the surface of the ocean. The wreck was covered in coral and teeming with more fish than I could possibly count. Seemingly unafraid, these fish of all shapes, sizes and colors swarmed around us. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many fish at once. We could feel them swimming around us and more than once I had to get out of the way of a school of teeny, multi-colored fish as they bustled about. We all surfaced next to Ocean Star excitedly chattering and unanimously agreeing that, no matter how tired we might have been before the dive, we were most definitely wide awake now and ready to embark upon our 24 hour passage to what some have stated to be one of the most exciting island thus far.
