Location: Underway to Caribbean

Happy day 17 of passage!!!! But whos really counting (honestly, no one because time doesnt make sense here anymore). But first, a throwback to last night: Del and Chelsea made fried Oreos, which were sooooo good and the perfect late-night snack while doing homework and studying. Extra big shoutout to them because it was already so hot in the salon, but they chose to spend even more time in the galley standing above a hot pot of oil. Anyway, I already couldnt remember that this was today, but my day started at 12 am for 12-4 spooky watch (watch team 2s favorite). Soon into our watch, we already were hit by a squall, which soon turned into a moonbow, which was basically a rainbow at night because the moon was so bright and it was so cool. We got hit by a few more squalls during watch, but they did bring some wind, and we were able to hit 11.6 knots. Towards the end of watch Greta and I had to write our wake up song to wake up watch team 3 with. Today, our song was based off of Call Me Maybe (Robs request). This is the sixth song in our wake-up song album. Other songs include Rise and Shine, Just Give Me a Reason (to wake up), last Friday of watch, Let It Go, and Jingle Bell Rock (both watch editions, of course). After watching, we all went to sleep until watch, but while we were asleep, watch team 3 see a bunch of rainbows and watch team 1 hit 5,000 nautical miles!!!

For lunch, Sienna made chicken stir fry, which was so good even though we were hit by another squall during lunch. After lunch, we had nav master, which is actually making sense these days, and Greta, McGee, and I killed the practice problems (like always). After nav master Xavi convinced me, McGee, and Caroline to do rescue diver we started watching the rescue diver videos and doing knowledge reviews for that. Then Sienna and her sous chefs made delicious French toast with bacon, strawberries, and wiped cream. We then had to quickly do squeeze so we could finish cleanup before the sun went down, but my squeeze question was, Whats your anthem? Weve been cruising today, sometimes even going over 12 knots, so hopefully, this wind stays with us for the next two days to bring us into Dominica! After clean up, watch team 2 has 8 pm12, which is one of our last watches of the crossing. Were all super excited to get to the Caribbean but sad because that means we only have a few weeks left together : (
