Isnt it crazy its already day 40? I feel like I stepped on the boat yesterday, meeting all of these strangers who are most definitely not strangers anymore. This has been such an amazing experience, and its insane to think it is already coming to an end. Its crazy to think about no more passing meals through the gopher hole, ocean showers, pumping the toilet 50 plus times, the excitement when we find cold water, and so much more. Anyway, lets get on with the day!
We started bright and early with William making us DELICIOUS cinnamon rolls as our last breakfast on Ocean Star. They were absolutely fire!! Then we prepared to head off to the west end of Tortola, until we realized we were missing Katherine (per usual) where Allie went and found her finally buying a new pair of pants! Anyway, we finally retrieved her and headed off to our last passage!! We started scrubbing the deck, washing all the dive gear, cleaning bunks, packing all of our stuff, and so much more. Seasickness hit our sailors Claire, Zoe, and Rhianna very hard. As we worked, the three were down badly on the side of the boat, taking up basically the whole walkway. I almost fell and tripped on them several times. They all looked super unwell, but I felt amazing, which was pretty LITTYYYY, so I filled up Claires water bottle (aka baby boy) a few times to help the girls out.
We arrived at our last destination with the rest of ActionQuest, and we finished up boat appreciation and went to bed. Annicka, Nadia, and I had to continue to clean out Fox Hole and pack our bunks, which took 50x longer than everyone else. Let me tell you, it was absolutely disgusting, and everyone had something to say about it. Then, a bunch of us headed out to grab food & drinks from a cafe nearby, which felt so good after being trapped in the saloon for the past day due to the storm. As we were heading back to the boat, classically, Katherine asked to get a tour of the AQ boats. We then gave those kids tours of Ocean Star. We headed back to the boat and got ready for our final squeeze question of the trip and our final dinner. The squeeze question of the day was, What was your highest and lowest (funniest) moment of the trip? It was so hard for me and the rest of us to try and pick just one. We shared many laughs. We went off to dinner, and we all enjoyed dinner & drinks together for our final night.
(Idk if Im supposed to write for today, so here ya go)
We all woke up super early, at 6 AM, to say goodbye to the first one leaving, Rhi Rhi. Its crazy to think after living no farther than 88 feet from her for 40 days, shell be a whole plane ride away (dont worry, though. We are visiting Jaxson together in Georgia soon enough). I will very much miss the absurd nickname she had for me, our toe-holding sessions, and the ways we hissed at each other. After saying a hard goodbye, the rest of us grabbed breakfast at a cafe, where we enjoyed our last few moments together. We took many, many pictures and said all of our goodbyes. Many, many tears were shed. We took a long and lowkey very depressing ride to the airport which I am in right now! Currently, Katherine, Claire, Will, Owen, Annika, and Max are all sitting here eating the rest of Katherines snack collection. She keeps whipping out more and more snacks I really dont know where they were kept these past days. We are about to board. I am definitely not ready to say my final goodbyes in Miami and I can promise you there will be more tears there. It was the most amazing experience, and I cannot thank the staff and the rest of the Sea|mester family enough. Chlo$$$ out.
