Location: Lombok

My morning started with a delicious breakfast of fruit yogurt with frozen blueberries, many types of granola, and multiple different ways to sweeten it up. It was incredible! Soon after, most of us made some coffee, which made us jazzed for the day to come. The sun soon became about a million degrees! Not to worry, because we were about under the water working on our dive skills. The already certified people went for their second dive of the trip and saw some great coral. Then the open water students went out to work on some skills that are incredibly necessary while also being extremely fun! After our first dives, we all made it back to Vela for some much-needed lunch. Shortly after, some of us went down and did some theoretical dive planning with the RDP tables. Then we jumped right back into the water for another short dive to practice skills, explore the coral, and see many schools of fish. We then made our way back on Vela, and without skipping a beat, we got her ready for another passage. Once that was mostly done, we pulled up the anchor and said bye to Lombok!! We ate a quick dinner and then most of us headed to bed to rest before our upcoming night watch, while some went straight into theirs. Watch was very exciting with plenty to look out for! So many fishing boats and FADS (fish aggregating devices)! Then we finally got to Moyo, where we heard this is a cool hike to a waterfall!!!
