What da heck is up!

Today, I have the immense privilege and responsibility of documenting Argo’s adventures through this blog. This morning I woke the students up with a crazy playlist of songs, with vibes ranging from movie musicals to Abba to Elton John to Chappell Roan. Inspired by my staff member, Allie (hey bestie!), from my student voyage, the first song was the classic call “Turn My Swag On” by Soulja Boy, which is the PERFECT wake-up song before a full Sea|mester day. We had a fire breakfast of scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, AND fruit made by Shane. A quick cleanup commenced, and then the crew jumped in the dinghies, Plaii and Nopes, and headed off to the train station for Monaco day!

I was not present for the Monaco shenanigans, so I’ve invited some guest stars to hop in here and make this more interesting:

Helloooooooooo, it’s Emily. Honestly, I had extremely high hopes for Monaco until I felt like the brokest person to ever step foot near the Monte Carlo. However, seeing the smile on Chloe’s face during the Odyssey was probably one of the highlights of my day. I have never been to France before this, but I personally would only come back for the museum. And to see Chloe’s jaw on the floor. Okay, also, I just found out at 7:25 that Monaco is not France, and no one told me when I called everyone, saying I was in France. K thanks byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Hi, it’s Chloe!!! Today was an amazing day, exploring a new country (surprise, Emily!). Before we went on shore, we were told in our destination presentation of tales of riches, F1 tracks, mega yachts, and more. Monaco did indeed live up to the stories. My personal favorite part was the Odyssey in the aquarium, which was an immersive experience simulating the year 2050 if we actually took care of our planet and oceans. I also loved seeing the octopus, which was very playful, and I felt very maternal towards it. After the best 2 hours of my life, we left the aquarium, ended up farting around, and spending money per usual. I also enjoyed Rachel’s squeeze question; I took some mental notes. Okay, lots of love to everyone reading, and Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.

Ok, Rachel here again. Everyone needs to know that Meg had the best F1 nerd hours of her life. With everyone back aboard Argo for the day, we gathered for some chicken curry and announcements about our upcoming passage to Spain! Hope watch team 2 gets a lottttt of sleep tonight 🙂 We also took down allllll of our dry laundry hanging around the boat (because there was literally not a single empty spot on the lifelines these last few days). I presented the same squeeze question I asked when I was a student (interestingly three years ago yesterday in this very same anchorage, that’s insane) — what is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? To which I shared my staff member Sam’s answer, “Don’t let this be the craziest thing you do.”

What beautiful adventures we have ahead of us. Peace out, France!
