Location: Malakal, Palau

Argo’s shipmates had an early start this morning, in preparation for a day full of adventures. However, everyone was well rested after the first night in a still boat for over three weeks. At eight in the morning, we were all checked in for our dives and on our boats, ready to explore the south of the archipelago. The students were split into three different groups and went diving on some of the best preserved coral reefs on earth and world war II wrecks. To get there, we crossed a myriad of islands on turquoise waters. Underwater, we saw a huge diversity of fish, turtles, sharks, and rays, and all agreed it was one of their favorite dives so far. Even for Julian, despite missing the mantas again. Congrats to Ella, Kaya, Emily, Addi, Holland, Alyssa, Kennedy, Max, Julian, and Shay, who got Advanced Open Water certified today.
After the dives, the students enjoyed some free time on shore before heading back to Argo for dinner. Everyone is ready for bed now. Some have set their hammocks on deck, hoping for a dry night in Malakal.
More to come tomorrow.
