Location: Palau
Today was another early day for Argo with a 6:20 a.m. wake-up. We started off with a quick breakfast of granola and milk to get ready for a full day of diving. Once we got to the dive shop, we went and separated into our three boat groups and prepared our gear for the three dives. For my group, the first dive consisted of exploring a reef where we got to see some beautiful reef fish and some amazing corals. For our second dive, we got to explore a sunken Japanese ferry. As we made our way around the boat, we saw a bunch of corals, and some students even got to see a lionfish. Because the weather had started to pick up, our group got to go back to the dive shop to wait for lunch and get ready for our last dive. My lunch was amazing and was grilled fish with rice and vegetables. Once the rain stopped, we went to our last dive site, which was an underwater cave. The cave has four different pockets that we got to explore. The cave was absolutely amazing and has easily become one of my favorite dives that we have done so far!! We even got to sing Faith her first happy birthday in the second pocket. Once we were back on shore, we had free time to hang out before our shuttle came to pick us up at around 4. When back on the boat, we had time to ocean shower while dinner was being prepared; tonight we had pasta salad. After dinner and announcements, we got to sing a SECOND happy birthday to Faith to celebrate her 20th!!!! We celebrated with two chocolate cakes and one strawberry cake. Overall, it was a very fun day on Argo, and we can’t wait to do it all again tomorrow!!!
