Today the advanced open water students embarked on their first deep dive! Many were nervous, but they all came back from the dive raving about how amazing it was. Soon after, we dove Champagne Reef. The AOW students worked on their fish ID while I attempted to map the dive site. The reef was vibrant and full of marine life. In some spots, you could see bubbles coming out of the rocks below as a result of the islands volcanic activity. After the dive, we ate lunch and packed into the salon to watch the World Cup final. We finished the day off with classes with Gabe and Perry where we analyzed the water we collected from the Indian River and learned more for our Nav Master Exam. Tomorrow we hike to the Boiling Lake.
