Please read the following in a southern accent. Thank you.

HOWDY, Y’ALL!!!!!! After our long day yesterday, we got to sleep in a little and wake up at a nice 7 am. This mornin’, we woke up to some wonderful trumpets playin’ the song “It’s been a long, long time.” After some English breakfast, we dove straight into passage prep. This was actually combined with clean-up because we had to be out of the docking area by 10 am! We, surprisingly, were efficient enough to make it out in time, but it was close! As we were underway, we performed a drill: Prepare to abandon ship. This alarm is signaled by one long horn and six short ones. Once we hear this, we have to quickly gather our type 1 life jackets and Gumby suits from our beds. We then go and perform our duties with our watch teams. Being in watch team 2, I met everyone in the chart house and focused on medical and ration supplies. We also call for help on the radio!

We then had some free time and lunch! It was mac and cheese, and it was darn tootin deeeeeeeelicious! After clean up, we then started classes. Carolyn led an incredibly interesting class about micro-organisms. Before our next class, however, we had to lower the sail. Why? We were going tooooo fast!! We were goin as fast as a wild bronco runnin from a cowboy! We would have arrived at 03:00 am. A group of us quickly gathered up on deck to lower the sails and create a new watch team: the wild wild west. From sweatin’ the sails like a pig in heat to Ricky, Robbie, Randy, and Ramalama ding dong takin a Mediterranean bull ride, we accomplished our goal. YEEEEEHAWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ROLL TIDE AND FREE REFILLS!!!!

Finally, we could have our next class: A sedimentary lab!! We used our new knowledge of sediment that gathers in the ocean to determine the origin of our candy sediment samples. We then could eat the candy (YES!).
Some of us who weren’t on watch team 1 (WATCH TEAM 2 FOR THE WIN) got some free time before dinner. Then we had a delicious meal of chili and ended the day with our squeeze question: Who is your main in Mario Cart? Mine was Yoshie (aka the best one). Shout out to Owen’s mom for the chili recipe, t’was darn tootin good.

A special thanks to our chefs: Alison, Owen, and Cooper! Alison, you a real one.

Ramalama Ding Dong here- watch team 1 is, in fact, the best in the wild wild west YEEEHAWW BUCKAROOS!

Zoe here again: This is my blog, so I’m right. Watch team 2 = best team.

Mom, Dad, Parker, Khamil, Quintin, and Avery: I love all of you guys!! I hope you are doing great and creating lots of special memories!

A quick note from yesterday’s skipper, Julia. I swear I had some phenomenal pictures of everyone yesterday (I had like 9) but for some unknown reason, only three uploaded. Our tech team is currently working out the issues, and we will hopefully update them once we finish this passage. My sincerest apologies. We truly had some fire pics.
Also, another side note: watch team one is by far the best team. Varsity watch team for the win; it doesn’t matter what anyone else says. That is all. Julia out. For now…
