They Came! They Finally Came!

Location: Underway to Galapagos!!!!!

After waking up on another unscheduled anchored morning, I woke everyone up to eat some delicious Walnut, Chocolate chip, and banana bread made by Liam. After cleanup, we sat for a long lineup of presentations. We had leadership where Caro and Paloma read through their presentation on Understanding Change. Then it went over to Oceanography, where Morgan G gave a presentation about hurricanes, and Maya L gave a presentation on marine mammals. Once classes were over, we feasted on our Buddha bowl lunch made by our very own chefs, which was very tasty. Then, from the curve of the marina, out came our knight in shining armor, our amazing Captain Mac, with brand new silky smooth sails! We wasted no time threading through the soft shackles and raising the sails to get underway. After our final steps in passage prep, we gathered to eat the wonderful turkey pasta with some added roasted peppers and mushrooms. We are now officially on our way to the Galapagos which hopefully will be relatively quick to get as much time as possible to check out the island! I miss home a lot, but I can promise I don’t miss my 9-5!
